The day for for MBC Music Core~ During year 2014, the recording place of Music Core was at MBC Dream Center which is located at Ilsan, quite far, so every Saturday I always felt like give up of attending Music Core recording.......... However, I did miss the AOA's pre-recording today...... Why? Because my friend A who I mentioned at chapter1 before, is reaching at Incheon airport at the morning, so I need to go and meet him, and to guide him to the place we staying, that's why I needed to give up on AOA's pre-recording. Is okay, we still have AOA fansign at around 4pm~ Friend A and me had lunch at the food court nearby the fansign venue, then we headed straight to the fansign venue, my number was 29, my friend A was 30. This time, AOA were late for around 20 minutes~ AOA members did self-introduction, then without any delay, sat down and started to sign on the albums, felt a bit rushing, maybe because they were late. My number was 29, so very fast it was my turn~ Choa was the first member to give signatures again, so I gave her the chocolate that friend A helped me bought at airport before he took the plane~ "Wah!" Choa happily received the chocolate box, and said:"Matsi kaetso yo."(must be delicious.) Then, I showed Choa her own Miniskirt photocard. "Oh!" Choa took her own photocard from my hand, and out of everyone's expectation, kissed on the photocard, and left a kiss mark there! I was totally shocked, my friend A who was waiting at beside witnessed the whole process~ Next is Hyejeong. I tried so hard to calm down myself, and told Hyejeong that I bought 9 albums for all three fansigns, but sadly didn't get any her photocard......... Next is Chanmi. Chanmi tried to pronounce my name in a cute way, which sounded like Chinese accent, it was so nice to hear~ She also corrected one wrong Korean letter that I wrote, and drew a small heart on her own photocard~ Next is Yuna. Yuna saw a very famous university mark on the jacket I wearing, so she asked me whether am I from that university. "No, no."I from a normal university only......... Then I told her what I did for living. "Motsi soyo." (so cool.) Yuna praised at me then signed on her own photocard~ Next is Mina. Seems like yesterday I sat near with a Japanese fan and was quite friendly with him, so Mina mistaken me as Japanese people as well, and started to speak by using Japanese language with me, she even asked me to attend their Japan event................... Luckily I understood Japanese, but aiks...........Mina babo T_T You forgotten that I came yesterday........ I was so sad....... Because of what happened with Mina, so my mood became so down, even though Jimin recognized that I came to fansign yesterday, I also just smiled only, and let her sign on the album page and her own photocard. I recorded a few fancams that day, but all went badly...... Only this I think still okay:
That's all for the fansign. What shocked me the most, was still the Choa's kiss on the photocard~ At night, we went to MBC Dream Center to watch AOA's pre-recording for Music Core, recording for Music Core next week since Korean New Year was near~ After watching the pre-recording, we took the last train (phew.... almost needed to take taxi~) and reached the place we staying. My friend and I were very satisfied and happy, however, we still didn't know that at SBS Inkigayo next day, a freezing hell is waiting for us............ Thanks for reading. Even though I mentioned before that this blog will mainly be my memories article, but except focusing on the PASS, somehow I would like write about NOW and FUTURE too, same like last time I written about The Unit and Mixnine before, I hope to write something else too and not just my memories article~ So today........... I will write about fansign event instead~ As most of us already know, there are 2 types of fansign: First Come First Serve (FCFS) and Lucky Draw (LD). Usually when newbie group held a fansign event, they will start with FCFS fansign, until they are able to finish selling the 100 tickets within one day, or a few hours, then only change to LD fansign. After changing to LD fansign, those fans with less money will suffer, because the more albums you buy, the more entries you will have, so the higher chance for you to get picked for the fansign~ I will stop talking about the types of fansign here, because today's topic is The Evolution Of Fansign Event~ I started attending fansign event at Korea around year 2014, at that time we didn't have any chair for us to sit while idols signing on the album. Of course, chairs were provided while we waiting for our numbers below the stage, but once we were up on the stage, we can only stand, squat or kneel down while receiving signatures. By the way, there is a friend of mine who went to a lot of fansigns, and he knelt down for most of the fansigns, until holes appear around the knees part of his jeans~ At that time, we didn't have huge groups that have more than 8 members, so even though we squatted or knelt down, we were not that tired. Now, one group having 9 to 10 members...... Ouch! My knees >_< Instead of standing, I personally prefer to kneel down, just imagine, if everyone stood, the idol members need to lift their head to talk, if fansign event lasted for two hours, then their neck will be super tired~ Well..... Some stubborn companies never allow fans to squat or kneel down to receive signatures, so sometimes we were forced to stand~ Until one day................... A girl group started to prepare chairs for fans on the stage, so that the fans can sit down while receiving signatures, and talk to the idols face to face, it did create a hot topic at Korea Kpop world. (Not sure about boy groups though........) After the 1st example, more and more groups started to prepare chairs, until today, except those few companies which famous of treating fans like shit, almost all companies will prepare chairs~ (I will not point out which companies, just search for fansign fancams at youtube~) Anyway, there are some newbie groups that just debuted, they wanted to treat the fans nicer, but not dare to ask the organizer to prepare chairs~ The first fansign that prepared chairs I attended was fansign by Oh My Girl, sitting on the chair, being able to talk to OMG members face to face, the feeling was a lot greater ~~~~ I almost gotten addicted to Oh My Girl~~ However, when chairs appeared, new problems also appeared~ Sometimes, the back of the chair was not fully covered, there might be an empty space between upper back and butt, so if wearing a low-rise jeans, then all the fans might be able to see the red underpants that you are wearing~ (Well.... usually problems occur at male fans, female fans always be careful with their attires.) Because of it, I always be ware with what I wear when attending fansign, if the venue is cold, then I will wear jacket, and the jacket will cover my back~ Or everytime before sitting down, I will pull up my jeans a bit, then only sit down. (of course by not doing it obviouly~) Except competing how the fans were treated at fansign, some groups also started to compete on fansign length. Last time, usually fansign will ends after 1 hour, the longest also not more than 2 hours, then suddenly some groups started to do fansign for 3 hours! The amount of fans were still the same, 100 people, so if the time lengthen, the fans will have more time to talk to the idols~ What happened next is, those groups that did longer fansign, their album sales also rose, because more fans bought more albums to attend their fansign events~ After the group become popular, only they cut the fansign time short, an example of throwing on the scrap heap~ That's all regarding the fansign event, but of course, not only fansign will evolves, the fans who go to fansign will evolve too. Personally, I will divide fans who go to fansign into 3 stages: 1) NEWBIE 2) THE GREEDY 3) JUST ENJOY Let's start with NEWBIE first, NEWBIE = fans who attending fansign event for the first time or first few times. Symptoms of NEWBIE: 1) Their hands will become very cold due to anxiousness while waiting in line to receive signatures. 2) When receiving signatures, their minds are empty, whole bodies are shaking due to anxiousness, so the idols need to lead the conversation. (I remembered seeing a NEWBIE back to his seat after receiving signatures, his face was totally red like apple, that was the first time I understood the meaning of face blushed.) 3) They don't mind whether the fansign ended too fast or the staffs are rude, as long as they can say annyeonghasaeyo or just one sentence with idols, they already satisfied. 4) They will bring a lot of presents for idols. 5) They will prepare a lot of post-it which full of questions on it for the idols to answer. After attending more fansign events, the NEWBIE will get used to it, and started to have some guts, the greediness inside them will awaken, and they level-up to become THE GREEDY. Symptoms of THE GREEDY: 1) Not just on the album, they will start to ask the idols to sign on other things or photocards. 2) They start to care whether the fansign ended too quickly or the staffs were rude, they will complain but will still continue to go to fansign events by the same idols. 3) Sometimes they will ignore the staffs who asked them to move, so that they can talk a few more seconds with their bias, usually ended up being dragged to next member by the staffs. 4) They will start to choose gifts carefully, and usually will prepare plushy toys or accessories, so that the idols will hug the plushy toys or wear the accessories during fansign event, and they enjoyed watching it. 5) Except signatures, they will start to ask for more, for examples like asking the idols to write extra message, holding hands together, taking pic together, and even ask for some skinship like hugging. THE GREEDY are the worries of idols and staffs, because of them, the fansign event will be longer, and some idols will feel uncomfortable when THE GREEDY asked for some touchy skinship actions. Some idols not dare to reject, and agreed to it(for example male fans asked for a hug from female idols), then the idols ended up scolding by the manager........ Some clever idols will find reasons to reject~ Let me clarify first, I am not saying that THE GREEDY are totally bad, it is just a stage that everyone will get into it after attending enough fansign events, just like puberty which everyone will experiences it~ And yeah............ I did become THE GREEDY, but after seeing some actions from other THE GREEDY, I started to feel bad at myself and did some self-reflection, and level-up to next stage -- JUST ENJOY. Symptoms of JUST ENJOY: 1) Very relax while waiting in line to receive signatures. 2) Signatures? Whatever. The most important thing is whether they can enjoy the conversation with the idols. 3) Their conversation with idols usually just some light contents, to make the idols and themselves happy~ 4) Fansign event ended too fast? The staffs were rude? Is okay~ Just go fansign event by other idols then~ Just want to enjoy~ 5) Usually do not prepare gifts for idols, just enjoy and talk with idols is already enough~ The hostelsthat idols staying is so small, they will have no space to sleep if everyone keep giving presents to them~ 6) Usually just enjoy conversation with the idols, will not ask for other actions like skinship. THE GREEDY are a lot more if comparing with JUST ENJOY. Why? Before THE GREEDY level-up to JUST ENJOY, some of them maybe advanced into next stage of their lives, or maybe started to have girl/boy friend, and have less interests at KPOP, so that's why JUST ENJOY are lesser. The stage after JUST ENJOY? Well.......... I also don't know, since I not yet advance to next level~ But....... maybe RETIREE? So yeah APRIL....... I remember when they debuted, they had pre-recording at SBS The Show, Tuesday morning 10am. That day was the last day I staying at Korea, my flight to my own country was at around 4pm. I even purposely went to buy APRIL debut album at Monday, so that I can attend the pre-recording at the next day morning, then only go to airport at afternoon. At the end.................. I didn't go.......................... Because................................. Usually the actual recording time will be later than the time shown at the notice, gathering time 10am, the recording might get delayed to 12pm or even 1pm, so I decided not to take risk. Thus, I missed the APRIL's debut. A year later, I happened to be at Korea again when APRIL comeback with Tinkerbell, so I went to watch their comeback showcase, and received this photocards:
At the Friday of that week, I even saw them reaching KBS~ The APRIL members all cosplaying as Tinkerbell, so cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~ I recorded some fancams, each was around 10 seconds long only:
Felt like I stood very close to them, but actually I didn't stand that close..............
Okay.... My phone really scary, I didn't stand that close, but why my fancams were very close? I am scared.......
For the fancam above, Naeun was asking fans, how should she walked into KBS, then a fan suggested her to fly, Naeun asked what will happen if she flies~ LOL Then, I went back to my own country. I came to Korea again at June, coincidentally APRIL was having fansign event at Saturday, eventually it was their last fansign for Tinkerbell promotion, so I bought 3 albums, and luckily get picked for the fansign~ The fansign started at 7pm, and me............................. yeah I was late again............. I joined a sports event at the same day afternoon, so my whole body was aching, and I walked quite slow, so I was late for 40 minutes........... Is okay.... Better late than never, at least I received their signatures~ My seat number was H15, corner seat, very good, no need to sit between people, more fresh air for me~ Why did I remember my seat number clearly? Actually I sat quite far away, but felt like sitting quite close from the fancam, my phone is really scary ~~~ Even though my number was quite behind, but I didn't need to wait very long for my turn, since I was late~ First member the cutie Jinsol~ Jinsol saw that I am a foreigner, so she kept talking in English with me, even though I replied with Korean language..... Since she had hard time to express well in English, so I asked her to just speak in Korean language~ Jinsol agreed and asked me:"Otteoke hankukmal keroke chalhae yo?" (Why your Korean language so good?) I answered:"Tueike yolshimi baewotso yo. Yejeon ae......joa haneun yoja rel wihaeso........" (I did put a lot of hard works into learning Korean language. Since long time ago, for the girl I liked....) Jinsol was impressed:"Wa! Jeongmal romantic hada!" (Wow! So romantic!) Oooops..... I need to explain............ So I quickly explained:"Well........actually you know the girl that I liked, she is the senior in your company -- Han Seungyoen~" (Yeah, Han Seungyeon from Kara~ She is my first love in Kpop, that's why I always put attention at DSP's group~) "Nae?"Jinsol not really understood, I felt like I need to explain more, but the staff asked me to move. Since next is my favorite member Yena, so I gave up for further explaining, just said good bye to Jinsol and moved to next chair. Anyway, Jinsol is so pure and cute~ Next is Yena. I asked her a question, and she couldn't answer it, so I told her the answer. Of course, the answer was a sentence to make a girl's heart fluttered~ Yena listenend, and laughed happily~ Then she asked me while signing on the album:"Bab mokot soyo?"(did you eat?) I shook my head, replied:"Ajiki yo."(Not yet.) Yena worried and asked:"Wae yo? Wae ajik an moko yo?" (Why? Why you not yet have dinner?) I naughtily answered:"Yena rang katchi moko shippo so yo~" (Because I wanna eat with you~) Yena smiled shyly, and told me:"Chodo katchi moko shippo yo." (I also want to eat with you.) Wow............. Yena you are so kind............ I am touched........... Seems like I chose you as my favorite APRIL member is a right choice~ At that time I didn't expect that at the end of the year, APRIL did Makestar Project, and the highest reward is having meal with the members! So my joke did come true at the end! Sadly I didn't take up the chance to participate........ Yena........ I am sorry......... I like you but not until willing to pay so much money for Makestar............. Since I joked with SONAMOO and APRIL members about wanting to eat together, and they really did Makestar Project and gave us chance to have meal together, so from that time, I not dare to simply saying wanna have meal together with any idols I met~ Next is Naeun. I asked Naeun to pick her favorite page of the album to sign, so she found a page, almost signing on it, then suddenly she shook her head and said:"Ani da." (No.) Then she kept flipping the pages, so I asked:"Anything wrong?" "Aniyo."(nothing.) Then Naeun seems like gave up, just simply signed on a page.
Since she spent too much times flipping the pages, so we didn't talk much actually........ Last is Chaewon. Chaewon was quiet and not talkative, so I tried my best to start conversation with her, by asking her today really is the last fansign? Chaewon said yes, and I told her that I was glad that at least I attended their fansign before this promotion ending. Then............... nothing more~ After ending a short conversation with Chaewon, I went back to sit down on my H15 seat. After signing for all 100 fans, the members gathered at the front of the table, the fan manager let each member draw a seat number from a bag, to pick a fan to come out and take picture together:
After Jinsol announced the lucky fan's seat number, it was Yena's turn. Yena holding the paper, and announced:"Cho neun......H........." H? Isn't that number my row? Yena continued:"...ship o yo."(15) "Ehh!?" I was shocked, couldn't believe that Yena did draw my number! What's wrong with me today? Did I just spent all the lucks of my life at today? No more luck for the rest of my life? Yena didn't see anyone raised hand or stood up, so she asked:"Kyesin ga yo?" (are you here?) I quickly raised my hand, then took my smartphone with me and walked down staircase of the audience seat, joined with the lucky fan picked by Jinsol. After getting down, me and Yena looked at each other, and smiled~ After all the 4 lucky fans were announced, each of us took turn to take picture with the members. When it was my turn, I passed Yena my phone (stupid me~~~~) and this pic was taken:
Actually we took 2 pics~ Yena passed me back my phone, and said my phone is good. Ehh? My phone is just Note 3, are you sure? I went back to my seat with that question in my mind.... Then only I started to regret that..... I should passed the phone to Chaewon........... By the way, while I was writing this memories article, I searched at youtube, and found a fancam:
The timing when I was taking pic with the APRIL members is around 19:20, watching the fancam, I only realized that Naeun was having trouble to find a good position behind me when taking pic, she is so cute~~~ But what shocked me the most............ the person who recorded this fancam, is the famous Joser!! Let me give a shout out to him~ Hi Joser, thanks for the fancam! It included my precious memories~ If only I knew you recorded it earlier, I would have treated you the Kyochon chicken that we ate together last year! Hehehe!
